Maguire Upper Limb & Sports Injury Clinic is a unique facility dedicated to both the non-operative and surgical management of upper limb conditions and the treatment of sporting injuries.

We have recently relocated to a brand new, "purpose built" facility which has "State of the Art" equipment and a fully functionioning Day Hospital co-located. The new Fully Equiped Operating Theatre allows all surgeries to performed in the same facility as your consultation.

Dr Michael Maguire is a Gold Coast Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in surgery of the upper limb including:

Dr Maguire also has a particular interest in the management of all Sports Injuries both of the Upper Limb and Lower Limb and has recently completed his Master of Sports Medicine through the University of Queensland. Types of Sporting Injuries seen include but are not limited to:

Tennis and Golfer's Elbow

Wrist Injuries icluding TFCC Tears

ACL Injuries / Tears, Hamstring Tears, FAI - Femoroacetabular Impingement of the Hip, Hip Labral Tears, Knee injuries (including meniscal tears), Ankle Instability, Tendinopathy of the upper and lower limb (Rotator Cuff Tendons, Biceps Tendon, Elbow/Common Extensor Origin, Patellar Tendon, Achilles Tendon) and Fractures (Upper and Lower Limb).

Appointments are spaced out so you don't feel your experience is rushed in any way.

Once ready to be seen by Dr Maguire you will be taken through for your consultation.

After assessment by Dr Maguire non-operative treatment may be offered on the day or surgery may be discussed.

Maguire Upper Limb offers Ultrasound Guided procedures in the clinic, saving you the inconvenience of travelling to a Radiology Practice for your procedure. As well as corticosteroid injections Maguire Upper Limb offers PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma injections for the treatment of a variety of upper limb conditions.
