Founding Director, John Brackenreg (1905 – 1986)
The Gallery represents Australian contemporary artists with up to six major solo exhibitions annually interspersed with mixed exhibitions. A rotation of these exhibitions and individual artists work on consignment ensures a wide choice of oils, acrylics, watercolours, drawings and sculpture. Commissions are available on application to particular artists and conservation of paintings may be considered by our conservators.
Artarmon Galleries has been privileged to represent highly regarded and well-known artists such as William Dobell, Russell Drysdale, Donald Friend, John Henshaw, Jean Isherwood, Earle Backen, Robert Johnson, Sali Herman, Hans Heysen, Kenneth Jack, George W Lambert, George Lawrence, Norman Lindsay, Godfrey Miller, Arthur Murch, Albert Namatjira, Margaret Olley, John Coburn, Adelaide Perry, Lloyd Rees, Lance Vaiben Solomon, David Brian Wilson and sculptor Arthur Fleischman. Several pieces by Arthur are available from the Gallery’s own collection.

Jenny Pollak, Ingrid Morley, Thomas Clark (1934-2010), Vince Vozzo and Lawrence Beck (1942-2019) exhibit original sculpture in the Gallery.
