Bistecca is an unashamedly Italian classic cocktail bar and restaurant dedicated to Tuscany’s revered cut of steak, bistecca alla Fiorentina, alongside an Italian grape varietal wine focus and a cocktail list featuring a variety of Negronis.

Spanning three distinct spaces in a heritage-fronted building on Bridge Street, and accessed via Dalley Street at the rear, Bistecca delivers the ambience and bravado of Italy’s famed ristorante and enoteca via a cocktail bar, 50-seat restaurant, and adjoining wine store.

Bistecca alla Fiorentina was made famous in Florence centuries ago and celebrated worldwide. At Bistecca, it’s cut and weighed, then presented to diners before being cooked fireside over charcoal to a perfect medium-rare. The steak is left to rest and served in traditional Italian fashion, well-seasoned with salt, pepper and a drizzle of olive oil.

Our wine list was awarded Best New List and three wine glasses at the Australian Wine List of the Year awards in 2019.
